Provides methods for the production of potassium sulfate.The Methods include contacting an aqueous composition containing potassium sulfate and magnesium chloride (mgclu2082)Obtaining a composition comprising kainite; optionally Concentrate Composition of the kainite; reacting the kainite (mgsou2084) with Magnesium sulphate and Potassium sulphate (ku2082sou2084) dAnd convert the mode of kainite in leonita (ku2082sou2084.mgsou2084.4hu2082o); optionally contacting the leonita with water to remove excess mgsou2084; and contacting the leonita with water so the mgsou2084 Leach,Leonita content in the precipitate selectively and at least substantially Potassium sulphate (ku2082sou2084) and then involve a control Phase sulfate Brine processBased on the precipitation of the bloedita, to control the General level of sulphate in the method.The Method can operate at higher temperatures, especially at temperatures above 35C and does not require a Cooling Stage 20 to 25c.The Method produces potassium sulfate with low amount of chloride.
