A DEVICE FOR DEFORMATION STUDY OF ROCK STRUCTURE

A device for deformation study of rock structures on the emission of submicron particles at uniaxially loads, containing investigated structure of granite, dolomite, marble, syenite, etc. in the shape of a regular parallelepiped, press and electronic aerosol particle counter equipped with an air suction pump. In the middle of one of the sides of the structure (1) there is a cylindrical opening (5) passing through it and a flexible pipeline (6) connected to the counter input (3). The sample (1) is located between the two plates of the press (2), so that its opening is sidelong. There are formed also cylindrical openings (7, 8, 9 and 10) on the same side with the opening (5) and passing through the structure (1), which together with the middle opening (5) are not less than five (5, 7, 8, 9 and 10). They are symmetrical to the middle opening (5) and they are located close to the edges of the sample (1). The total area of cross-sections of all openings (5, 7, 8, 9 and 10) is smaller by about two orders of magnitude from the area of the side, on which they are formed. The openings (5, 7, 8, 9 and 10) on one side are connected in parallel with the pipeline (6) via five equal in its length and cross-section branches. There is also a second flexible pipeline (11) with five branches, which are equal in length and cross-section, also connecting in parallel openings (5, 7, 8, 9 and 10) on the other side of the structure 1, as well as the second pipeline (11) is connected to the outlet of the pump (4). The information of the amount of submicron particles which are an indicator of deformation is reported to the monitor (12) of the counter (3) or is submitted for processing and storage on a computer.
