摘要

aerodynamic profile diffuser with flap termination set in horizontal axis wind turbine blades. The proposed patent discloses a diffuser whose longitudinal section is represented by a plurality of flap-terminated aerofoil profiles aiming at: 1) due to the increased pressure differential in the diffuser, induce the increase in air velocity perceived by the blades of a horizontal-axis wind turbine, which are set into the diffuser, resulting in an increase of available power to be absorbed by the blades, and 2) due to the perceived air path being larger, a reduction in the dimensions of the diffuser, resulting in lower loads to be supported by the wind turbine structure.
