The present invention relates to a process for producing a high tensile wet extrusion nanofiber yarn on a slippery surface. In particular, the present invention describes a method in which individual nanocellulose fibers are aligned by nozzle alignment or high speed surface alignment which comprises controlling the width of the fiber on a slippery moving surface.
