The present invention relates to a substrate coating system comprising a first, a second and a third layer, in which the first layer is performed as an adhesion layer, the second layer is a ductile metal layer with a column structure, and the third highest layer is a ceramic oxide layer of great hardness. Ideally the substrate is a component of a compressor component of a stationary gas turbine. In addition, a method for manufacturing the coating system is prepared.
