The invention relates to railway transport, in particular to the technology of usage of a warning system designed to notify workers about approach of the railway rolling stock when performing repair of the railway transport infrastructure, in particular, the railway track "in the window mode". The method of notification consists in that from the rolling stock detection sensors located on one or two tracks on both sides of the work site, the control signals are transmitted to the corresponding system unit and, when detected by the rolling stock sensors, the alarm signals transmit the received signals via a radio channel to the central control unit, by means of which signals are transmitted via a radio channel to collective and individual annunciators. At that, transmission of the notification signal from the system unit to the central control unit is carried out only in case of transmission to the system unit of the notification signal from both sensors installed on the same track, and if the signaling sequence from these sensors corresponds to direction towards the work site.
