The present invention relates to a method for repairing a reservoir of a reservoir dam, which includes the creation of a sediment control chamber formed by modular rings 12 m in diameter and 3 m high, which allows dismantling the former water receiver without draining water from its area; pre-assembled elements for expanding the new intake in place with metal formwork for installing modular elements, which are subsequently steamed and transported to the final location with the help of barges and cranes. The final assembly is carried out using divers and camera equipment, such as lighting, closed loop cameras, monitoring, an emergency staircase and a lift or a service elevator, which reduces the time and cost of repairing the receiving reservoir dams.
