NOVEL NANOCARRIER FOR EFFICIENT DRUG DELIVERY

The present invention provides a nano-drug delivery system which comprises drug such as Amphotericin B and has a particle size range from 100- 500nm, preferably 180 -250nm. The nano-drug delivery system is highly cost-effective and efficient is clearing the infection. Further, drug entrapment efficiency of nanodrug delivery system of the present invention is in the range of 60-70 %. The nano-drug delivery system of the present invention is produced by a novel and inventive method of modifying the cholesterol with maleic anhydride and combining the same with chitosan backbone of the nano-particle. The present invention also provides method of treatment by administering the nano-drug delivery system and uses thereof.
