Abstract: The invention described herein is to produce ultra-small size nanoconjugates of anti-cancer drugs for the reversal of drug resistance mechanisms in cancer cells. Nanoconjugates developed herein comprised of Sorafenib (SF, an anti-cancer drug) conjugated with biocompatible, ultra-small size gold nanoparticles (GNPs). Also, provided the method for nanoformulation of SF-GNP nanoconjugates and its potential to combat the drug resistance in human hepatoblastoma cells.
