The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising SGLT2 inhibitor or pharmaceutically acceptable salts, esters, solvates, polymorphs thereof and/or dipeptidyl peptidase-IV inhibitor or pharmaceutically acceptable salts, esters, solvates, polymorphs thereof optionally along with one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients. The pharmaceutical composition of the invention can be used for the treatment of type 1 or type 2 diabetes mellitus.
