The present disclosure relates to a talc free dusting powder composition comprising: a) at least one starch; b) at least one alkaline earth metal sa and c) at least one additive, wherein the at least one starch to the at least one alkaline earth metal salt weight ratio is in the range of 1:0.7-1:1.25. The disclosure further relates to a process for preparation of the talc free dusting powder composition.
