A radio is provided with a transmitter 100T and a receiver 100R; the transmitter uses a plurality of antennas 11 21 31 to transmit radio waves which have a rotating polarization in a plurality of transmission dissemination directions; the receiver uses a plurality of antennas 41 51 61 to receive radio waves which have a rotating polarization in a plurality of reception propagation directions; the receiver measures changes in the rotational trajectory of the radio waves of the reception waves in the plurality of reception propagation directions with respect to transmission waves in the plurality of transmission propagation directions; and the transmitter performs transmission by using the reception propagation direction in which changes in the rotational trajectory of the polarization of the radio waves of the reception waves measured by the receiver become stationary.
