A PORTABLE TABLE TOP DEVICE FOR MONITORING THE EMBRYO GROWTH IN A POULTRY EGG

An egg candler particularly designed to be portable and to monitor the growth of the embryo inside the at least one egg from chickens or other animal species, in order to determine their periodic development and the quality of the egg, is described. The present invention provides an egg candler preferably made of teak wood comprising an oval base including at least one egg holder connected through a vertical column. The egg holder comprises a shallow cavity at the top surface.for fixedly holding the said egg at its bottom shell. The said egg holder is rotational about an axis for providing a clear visibility of the growing embryo in the said egg. The egg candler device further comprises LED lights as the light source and with a plurality of rechargeable batteries, the battery compartment, a charging jack and a switch for charging and controlling the operation of the power source for the LED lamps. The light emitting diode (LED) lamps are provided for illuminating the surface of the at least one egg held by the holder and for providing the ambient warmth and heat to the embryo in the said egg.
