the invention relates to a device for measuring parameters of a rectangular waveguide loaded with dielectric sample wr62 in ku band.a new method is developed based on the use of a matrix of transmission (abcd) combined with an optimization algorithm to determine the complex permittivity and permeability.complex dielectric materials in the ku band.the parameters of rectangular waveguide loaded with a sample of the processed material in a precise manner are measured by network analyzer e8634a.the parameters are calculated on the basis of the complex permittivity and permeability of the complex, based on the transmission matrix (abcd).the use of the algorithm of nonlinear optimization method based on the nelder - mead optimization using fminsearch implemented in matlab in order to minimize the errors.the parameters are measured and calculated.the method presented here is intended to characterize the dielectric materials in order to accurately determine the complex dielectric permittivity and the magnetic permeability of a material's complexon a wide range of frequencies for use in a microwave.
