PROCESS FOR SEPARATING AN OCTANOL FRACTION FROM THE OCTANOL RECOVERED FROM THE PREPARATION OF OCTANOL-BASED PLASTIFIERS

The invention relates to a process for separating an octanol fraction, said octanols being used for manufacturing plastifiers. According to the invention, the process consists in fractioning the octanol recovered from the preparation of octanol-based plastifiers, in two or three steps, by modifying the parameters of the fractionating columns wherefrom there is separated a light fraction, an octanol fraction which is recycled in plastifier manufacture or an octanol fraction as a commercial product, comprising at least 99.5% octanols and a heavy fraction.
