The footrest further comprises at least one locking body (6) associated with each accommodating seat (3a) movable between a release position, in which it allows a free uncoupling between the coupling portion (201) of the shoe and the seat (3a), and a securing position, in which the coupling portion (201) of the shoe (202) is kept secured inside the seat (3a) and a movement unit (9) operable manually by a user and associated with the locking body (6) to move it between the release position and the securing position as a function of a user initiated command.
