Extraction machine (11) for extracting material contained in horizontal silos comprising a bag made of a plastic material film, said machine comprising: an elongated supporting structure (13) in which an inlet mouth (27) for the material extracted from the silo is defined; a cutting unit (29) associated with the supporting structure (13) and adjacent to a lower portion (19) of said structure (13), said cutting unit (29) being adapted to cause cutting of the plastic film forming the bag along at least one direction substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis ("S2") of the silo; a conveying unit (35), associated with the supporting structure (13) above the cutting unit (29) and adapted to convey the material extracted from the bag towards one of the side portions (23, 25) of the supporting structure (13), in a direction substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis ("SI ") of the supporting structure (13) and substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis ("S2") of the silo; a front crushing member (37) arranged above the conveying unit (35) when the machine is in its working condition, said crushing member (37) being adapted to break or crush the front of the material stored in the bag and to feed the underlying conveying unit (35); a winding mechanism (39) for winding at least one flap of the plastic film forming the bag, said winding mechanism (39) being adapted to cause relative movement between the extraction machine (11) and the bag and substantially simultaneously to cause winding, aboard the machine, of said at least one flap of the plastic film forming the bag.
