A hernia repair system comprising: an expandable deployment device (3) adapted to deploy a hernia repair patch (2) into a patient's body where the deployment device (3) has a reduced configuration for supplying the hernia repair patch to a site within the patient and an expanded configuration to deploy the hernia repair patch; an immobilization component (200) extending from the deployment device (3), and which is adapted to attach the hernia repair patch to the deployment device (3); and characterized by a centering component (5) extending from the deployment device (3) adapted to position the deployment device relative to a hernia, the centering component being adapted for insertion into the hernia repair patch.
