Connecting element (1) for mechanically joining switching frames (2,3) to one another, comprising - a base coupling part (4) with a resting surface (5) suitable for resting on a profile bar (6 ) of a first switching frame (2) and coupled thereto, - a locking coupling part (7) protruding from said coupling base part (4) and is configured to fit an additional locking coupling part (1 ') of an additional connecting element connectable to a respective profile bar (6') of a second switching frame (3), - said locking coupling part (7) with a passage opening (8) which it extends along an insertion axis (9) and is suitable for cooperating with an additional passage opening of said additional locking coupling part to receive a locking pin element (10) parallel to longitudinal axes (11) of said profile bars (6.6 ') to block reciprocals between said blocking coupling part (7) and said other blocking coupling part, characterized in that said blocking coupling part (7) comprises a first alignment surface part (12,23) inclined with respect to said insertion axis (9) and configured to be able in a reciprocal approach movement of said joint element (1) and said other joint element, to achieve a position of mutual alignment of said switching frames (2,3) according to a first direction (F1) parallel to said longitudinal axis (11) and to achieve a desired relative lateral position according to a second direction (F2) orthogonal to said longitudinal axis (11) and to said resting surface (5), and where in said part of locking coupling (7) and the coupling base part (4) a second alignment surface part (13,14) is arranged parallel to said insertion axis (9), which slopes with respect to said descending surface anso (5), and is configured to ensure reciprocal alignment of said switching frames (2,3) according to a third direction (F3) orthogonal to said insertion axis (9) and parallel to said rest surface (5).
