Computer-assisted planning with double alpha angles in femoroacetabular shock surgery

A method for determining a resection volume of a pathological femur (306) having a femoral head (308) and a femoral neck (310), comprising the steps of: determining a first point of a desired contour based on an alpha angle pathological pathological femur (306); determine a second point of a desired contour based on a desired alpha angle of the pathological femur (306); characterized by determining a third point of the desired contour on the femoral neck (310) of the pathological femur (306); and generating a resection volume of the pathological femur (306) based on a three-dimensional reconstruction of the first, second and third points of the desired contour obtained from each of a plurality of cross sections of the pathological femur (306).
