An oligonucleotide that targets a natural antisense transcript of a reprogramming factor for use as a therapeutic compound, where the oligonucleotide increases the expression of the reprogramming factor, and where the natural antisense transcript has the nucleic acid sequence as set forth in any one of SEQ ID NO: 4, 5 or 6 or a variant thereof that retains the function of the natural antisense transcript of SEQ ID NO: 4, 5 or 6.
