Composition comprising at least one strain of Lactobacillus helveticus for use in reducing allergy symptoms in patients who have allergies triggered by food, respiratory or contact allergens, in which the strain is Lactobacillus helveticus NCC 1176 deposited as CNCM I- 1156, Lactobacillus helveticus NCC 714 deposited as CNCM I-1154 or a combination thereof, wherein said composition has an effect on the sensitization of said patients to said food, respiratory or contact allergens.
