The invention described herein is related to antibodies directed to theantigen TIM-1 and uses of such antibodies for the treatment of cancer (e.g.,renal and ovarian cancer). In particular, there are provided fully humanmonoclonal antibodies directed to the antigen TIM-1. Isolated polynucleotidesequences encoding, and amino acid sequences comprising, heavy and light chainimmunoglobulin molecules, particularly sequences corresponding to contiguousheavy and light chain sequences spanning the framework regions (FR' s) and/orcomplementarity determining regions (CDR' s), specifically from FRl throughFR4 or CDRl through CDR3, are provided. Hybridomas or other cell linesexpressing such immunoglobulin molecules and monoclonal antibodies are alsoprovided.
