The present invention is concerned with means and methods for allowing tissuespecific and, in particular, seedspecific expression of genes. The present invention, accordingly, relates to apolynucleotide comprising an expression controlsequence which allows seed specific expression of a nucleic acid of interestbeing operatively linked thereto. Moreover, the presentinvention contemplates vectors, host cells, non-human transgenic organismscomprising the aforementioned polynucleotide aswell as methods and uses of such a polynucleotide.
