The invention concerns a high-temperaturemodule for electrolysis of water with improvedoperational safety, in which steam containing at most1% hydrogen can be made to flow simultaneously in eachcathode and in each anode, as a draining gas, of astack of cells.The stack of cells is housed in a sealedcase and means for clamping by compression of the stackare included.The risks of leaks likely to causeimpairments of efficiency and breakages of all or partof a stack EHT electrolyser are reduced, whilst a highlevel of efficiency is provided due to the fact thatsatisfactory electrical conduction is maintained bycompression of the stack.
