Disclosed are an alternating current rectifying circuit and an alternatingcurrent rectifyingmethod for driving an LED module. The method comprises: when an alternatingcurrent moduleis in a positive half cycle, after an alternating current output by thealternating current module isrectified, outputting the alternating current to a positive half cyclerectifying branch circuit of anexternal LED module; when the alternating current module is in a negative halfcycle, carryingout charging according to the alternating current output by the alternatingcurrent module, andwhen the alternating current module is in the positive half cycle, carryingout discharging, andoutputting the alternating current to a positive half cycle feed branchcircuit of the external LEDmodule; when the alternating current module is in the negative half cycle,rectifying thealternating current output by the alternating current module, and outputtingthe alternating currentto a negative half cycle rectifying branch circuit of the external LED module;when thealternating current module is in the positive half cycle, carrying outcharging according to thealternating current output by the alternating current module, and when thealternating currentmodule is in the negative half cycle, carrying out discharging, and outputtingthe alternatingcurrent to a negative half cycle feed branch circuit of the external LEDmodule. By using thepresent invention, stability of an output voltage can be improved, andluminous efficiency of theLED module can be improved.
