The atomizer of an electronic cigarette comprises an atomizing core (100); the atomizing core (100) comprises an atomizing component (1), a heating wire component (2), a liquid blocking component (3), a rotating component (4), and an atomizing cap (5); the heating wire component (2) is mounted on the atomizing component (1); the atomizing component (1) is provided with a hollow cavity having openings at both ends; the rotating component (4) is sheathed on the outer surface of the atomizing component (1); the rotating component (4) can rotate relative to the atomizing component (1); the atomizing cap (5) is mounted on the rotating component (4); the liquid blocking component (3) is located below the atomizing cap (5); the atomizing cap (5) is provided with e-liquid inlets (51) and an atomizing cap via hole (52); the position of the atomizing cap via hole (52) corresponds to that of the hollow cavity; the e-liquid inlets (51) are closed or opened by the liquid blocking component (3) by means of the rotational matching of the atomizing component (1) and the rotating component (4).
