A business card information identification method, comprising: acquiring an image of a business card; detecting textual sequence images in said business card image; carrying out text recognition on parts of said textual sequence images, thereby obtaining text fragments; determining a content type of the textual sequence according to said text fragments; when the content type of the textual sequence is a designated textual sequence content type, then fully identifying said textual sequence images so as to obtain a textual sequence.
