A target biological molecule identification method, said method comprising the steps of: (a) bringing a sample containing a biological molecule into contact with multiple beads having, immobilized thereon, a ligand which can bind to the target biological molecule and a nucleic acid for beads identification use which corresponds to the type of the ligand; (b) placing the multiple beads, which have been brought into contact with the sample, in each of reaction vessels; (c) adding a reagent necessary for a nucleic acid extension reaction to each of the reaction vessels; (d) carrying out a nucleic acid extension reaction in each of the reaction vessels; (e) measuring the amount of protons generated in each of the reaction vessels during the nucleic acid extension reaction; (f) determining the presence or absence of the extension of a nucleic acid in each of the reaction vessels on the basis of the amount of protons generated; and (g) identifying the sequence for the nucleic acid for beads identification use in each of the reaction vessels, and identifying the type of the ligand in each of the reaction vessels on the basis of the sequence for the nucleic acid for beads identification use.
