An electrically-heated food processing appliance with a radiant heating infrared plate and an electric stewing pot using an infrared plate. The appliance comprises: a casing (3), an outer pot (2), and an inner pot (1). The outer pot (2) is disposed inside the casing (3). The inner pot (1) is disposed inside the outer pot (2). The appliance also comprises: an infrared plate (7), and an electrical component electrically connected to the infrared plate (7). An upper end of the inner pot (1) extends outside the outer pot (2) and the casing (3), and forms a ring-shaped outer margin. The outer margin of the inner pot (1) is pressed against an upper surface of the casing (3). The infrared plate (7) is disposed at a bottom of the outer pot (2). The inner pot (1) is positioned above the infrared plate (7), and a bottom of the inner pot (1) is not in any contact with the infrared plate (7) so as to generate a gap. The infrared plate (7) of the appliance directly heats the inner pot (1) by means of heat radiation, providing an adequately large heating area and uniform heating for the inner pot (1). The infrared plate (7) also heats air inside the outer pot (2), forming heat convection flow in the gap between the inner pot (1) and the infrared plate (7) and in a gap between the inner pot (1) and the outer pot (2) so as to achieve uniform heating of the bottom portion and periphery side of the inner pot (1) and increase heating efficiency.
