1. A lock for permanently installed digital cameras or digital cameras integrated in mobile devices. 2.1. To protect against unwanted extraneous access to the digital camera integrated in the device, protective apparatuses or locks are already known that are either fitted to the camera retrospectively or are even permanently installed on the device during actual production. However, these all project from the housing of the respective device, which means that the user has to fear possible catching and the associated risk of injury. 2.2. In contrast to the previously known apparatuses, the lock is not in front of the camera or above the respective device surface, but rather between the camera and the housing, which means that the lock terminates flush with the housing surface. The lock, which is permanently fitted in the housing (1) during the actual production of the respective device and is provided with a surface that is haptically suitable for displacement, is in the open position (3) in the depiction and thus clears the view for the digital camera (2). Manual displacement of the lock over the digital camera (2) then conceals the latter. In alternative variants, a slider that is appropriate for opening and closing the lock and that is provided with a surface that is haptically suitable for displacement is located on the side of the housing. 2.3. The lock is used particularly for devices that are able to transmit pictures and videos.
