The monitoring device (24) is used to acquire posture data of a user, and transmit, to the data storage device (23), the acquired posture data. The communication device (26) transmits, to the main apparatus (10) of the lighting apparatus and/or the associated monitoring apparatus, the posture data received by the data storage device (23). The sitting posture monitoring apparatus (20) provides accurate monitoring, and has a simple and practical structure.
