METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETERMINING WHETHER PULSE WAVE IS VALID

A method and device for determining whether a pulse wave is valid. The method comprises: obtaining an original waveform of a pulse wave within a preset time period of a target individual (S102); extracting signal characteristics of the pulse wave from the original waveform (S104); and determining, according to the extracted signal characteristics, whether the pulse wave is a valid pulse wave (S106). The method resolves the technical problem in the related art of being difficult to determine whether a pulse wave acquired from an individual is a valid wave because the signal characteristics of pulse waves vary from person to person.
