In the field of the Internet, provided are a method for feeding back a usage condition of an application shortcut switching technique, and a switching system. The method comprises: recording a shortcut icon matching a specific application (S101); detecting whether the specific application is a background application (S102); if not, remaining unchanged (S103); if so, displaying the shortcut icon matching the specific application on a current page (S104); and when a user clicks the shortcut icon matching the specific application on the current page, switching the current page to a page of the specific application, and sending technique usage data to a data collection end pre-set by a manufacturer (S105). By means of the method, a user clicks a shortcut icon on a current page and opens an application program matching the icon, so that an operation of application switching for a mobile phone is more convenient and fast, thereby improving the user operation experience. Moreover, it is also convenient for a manufacturer to timely and effectively collect a usage condition of a related technique.
