Provided are a method and device for controlling a cradle head, and a storage medium. The method comprises: acquiring an image by means of an image acquisition unit mounted on a cradle head, and performing recognition on the acquired image to obtain a recognition result, the recognition result indicating existence of a preset gesture in the acquired image, and the preset gesture being at a first position; and obtaining a deviation between the first position and a stored initial position, and controlling, according to the deviation, a turning angle of the cradle head, such that the first position and the initial position coincide.
