A mobile phone application purchasing method and a purchasing system, the method comprising: recording a mobile phone application of interest input by a user, an original price of said mobile phone application and a payment account (S101); detecting a current price of the mobile phone application (S102); determining whether the current price of the mobile phone application is lower than the original price of the mobile phone application (S103); if not, maintaining an original state (S104); if so, determining whether a balance in the payment account is larger than the current price of the mobile phone application (S105); if not, pushing to the user price drop information of the mobile phone application (S106); if so, sending to the user a purchase confirmation command (S107); when the user confirms the purchase, the payment account deducts and pays the current price of the mobile phone application (S108). Allowing a user to conveniently complete a purchase without limits as soon as a paid mobile phone application a user is interested in lowers its price improves the mobile phone application purchasing user experience.
