A data collection method for a tire pressure monitoring and alert technique, and an alert system. The method comprises: recording a tire pressure alert threshold of tires (S101); monitoring a real-time tire pressure of the tires (S102); and determining whether the real-time tire pressure is less than the alert threshold (S103): if not, remaining unchanged (S104), if so, flashing a red light on a dashboard of a motor vehicle, displaying which tire has an abnormal tire pressure, and sending technique usage data to a data collection terminal preset by a manufacturer (S105). By means of monitoring, in real time, the tire pressure of respective tires of a motor vehicle, determining whether the tire pressure is less than an alert threshold, and once the tire pressure is less than the alert threshold, sending alert information to a driver in a timely manner, the invention allows the driver to discover a low tire pressure in a timely manner and eliminate potential dangers, and in the meantime, can also facilitate the manufacturer to effectively collect technique usage data in a timely manner.
