The present invention can push information according to a non-frequent current location, thereby improving user experience. The method comprises: a server receiving an information push request message sent by a vehicle-mounted device, the information push request message carrying a current location of the vehicle-mounted device; collecting statistics about a frequent location of the vehicle-mounted device according to a navigation service, wherein the frequent location is an address where the number of times the vehicle-mounted device appears is greater than a preset threshold; if it is determined that the current location is not the frequent location of the vehicle-mounted device, searching a preset push information library according to the current location of the vehicle-mounted device to obtain push information corresponding to the current location of the vehicle-mounted device; sending, to the vehicle-mounted device, the push information corresponding to the current location of the vehicle-mounted device, and pushing patent information to a user.
