An external opening double inlet double outlet valve core structure and a usage method thereof, comprising a valve body (100) provided with a water inlet end and a water outlet end, and a fixed water division tray (200) arranged inside the valve body (100), the fixed water division tray (200) being provided with a plurality of bores for water to flow through; a movable water division tray (300) is arranged above the fixed water division tray (200), the movable water division tray (300) being provided with a communication channel (310), the middle of the movable water division tray (300) being provided with a control rod (400) for driving the rotation and movement of the movable water division tray (300) in order to implement the communication and closing of the communication channel (310) and the bores. Using toggling of the control rod (400) and rotation of the control rod (400) in combination to switch on and off the water flow can improve the defect of existing double inlet double outlet valve cores being unable to simultaneously adjust the water flow and the temperature of hot water, operation thereof thus being more user friendly.
