Data compression and decompression methods for a DeMura table, and a Mura compensation method. The data compression method comprises: acquiring image information about a liquid crystal display panel (S210); using a DeMura algorithm to process the image information so as to obtain an original DeMura table (S220); based on the original DeMura table, performing region extraction to delimit the range of a Mura region (S230); based on the Mura region obtained by means of extraction, performing edge detection to acquire boundary information about the Mura region (S240); and according to a result of region extraction and edge detection, allocating various sub-pixel units included in the liquid crystal display panel to determine the values of various sampling points in the DeMura table (S250). The method can save on storage costs of a DeMura table.
