The present invention relates to a kit for treatment of osteoarthritis to reduce pain, the kit comprising: a composition for intravenous administration, comprising STAT3 inhibitor-treated mesenchymal stem cells as an effective ingredient; and a composition for intraarticular administration, comprising mesenchymal stem cells as an effective ingredient, and a method for prevention and treatment of osteoarthritis by using the same. Osteoarthritis can be treated with the reduction of pain thereof by simultaneously administering STAT3 inhibitor-treated mesenchymal stem cells via an intravenous route and mesenchymal stem cells via an intraarticular route.
