A virtual reality (VR) device and a method and plug-in unit for implementing message prompt box displaying in the same. the method comprises: monitor a message prompt event of a system, and when a message prompt box corresponding to the message prompt event needs to be displayed, send a prompt box display request to a currently operated VR application (S102); after the VR application receives the prompt box display request, invoke an interface of a software development kit (SDK) and create a message prompt box matching a VR scene (S103); the VR application displays the created message prompt box at a VR scene of the VR application (S104). When a system message needs to be displayed, the VR application that is operated currently displays a message prompt box matching a VR scene at an own scene, so that a problem that the immersion feeling of the VR application scene is poor because a 2D message prompt box pops up directly and does not match a VR application scene in the prior art can be resolved.
