In this performance evaluation device, an extraction unit (211) extracts, from a processing schedule (201) and as a model pattern (231), a set of functions that are to be performed in parallel at a certain point in time. A generation unit (214) generates a performance characteristic model (232) that indicates the model pattern (231) and that also indicates how the service time for each function included in the model pattern (231) varies with the volume of data processed by the function on a per request basis. A calculation unit (222) receives an input specifying a volume of data per request, and calculates, using the performance characteristic model (232), the time it takes for each function included in the model pattern (231) to process the specified volume of data, said processing time including both a service time and a wait time. A verification unit (233) verifies the validity of the performance characteristic model (232) on the basis of calculation results from the calculation unit (222).
