DSM-CC PROTOCOL-BASED METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DOWNLOADING OBJECT CAROUSEL DATA

The present solution relates to a DSM-CC protocol-based method and system for downloading object carousel data: allocating a cache space in a digital television device memory; cyclically and continuously downloading OC data of DSM-CC data from a broadcast data stream when the digital television device is in operation; removing one OC data after said OC data has been downloaded and retained for a preset time, and continuing to download a next OC data, always caching one OC data in the cache space; when a user requests data, first detecting whether a corresponding OC data exists in the cache space, if yes, directly retrieving from the cache space, if no, only downloading a corresponding OC data from a server side according to a corresponding relationship. The present solution requires downloading only the required OC data, and does not require downloading all of the DSM-CC data, thus greatly saving the storage space and system resources of the digital television device. The present solution may feed the required data back to the user in a quick and timely manner, saving time for the user, and providing a good experience to the user.
