METHOD FOR SELECTING INDIVIDUALS TO BE ADMINISTERED IMMUNE CHECKPOINT INHIBITOR

[Problem] To provide a method for selecting individuals for whom administration of an immune checkpoint inhibitor would be effective, by extracting tumor tissue from individuals who have developed tumors and determining the level of expression of B7-H3 in the extracted tumor tissue. [Solution] A method for selecting individuals to be administered an immune checkpoint inhibitor when treating a tumor, said selection method characterized by comprising: (1) a step for extracting tumor tissue from said individuals; (2) a step for determining the degree of expression of B7-H3 in the tumor tissue extracted at (1); and (3) a step for selecting, as subjects to be administered an immune checkpoint inhibitor, individuals for whom it has been determined that the level of expression of B7-H3 is negative.
