A water purifier is provided with a near-field wireless communication device using power supplied from another device. The water purifier is also provided with: a sensor that detects usage amount information relating to the usage state of a cartridge; a control unit that records in a storage unit the cartridge usage amount information detected by the sensor; and a first communication unit that transmits the usage amount information recorded in the storage unit to the other device via near-field wireless communication using power supplied by the other device.
