The invention relates to a nucleic acid-based lateral flow assay (LFNA) strip for detecting an analyte nucleic acid molecule in a sample (100), wherein the detection of the analyte is based on the detection of a marker (203) after the migration of an analyte-conjugate-marker complex, which is formed in a conjugation region (2) of the strip, and after the immobilisation of the complex in a test area (4) by fixing the complex to a trapping module (205), a detectable signal (207) is generated by the marker (203). The invention also relates to the use of said type of test strip and to a method for detecting an analyte-nucleic acid molecule in the sample (100).
