Provided are an α-amylase JcAmy mutant with increased specific activity, and a coding gene and an application thereof, the amino acid sequence of the mutant having substituted one or more of the amino acids at the 6th, 53rd, 173rd, 245th, and/or 281st positions of the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO. 2. The specific activity of the mutant α-amylase increased by 21%-92% compared to the specific activity of the original α-amylase.
