The invention relates to an axle drive unit for an electrically driven motor vehicle having at least one drive axle. The axle drive unit has at least one electric motor (10, 11) for generating a drive torque and at least one transmission (12, 13) for transmitting the drive torque to the drive axle. The electric motor and the transmission form a structural unit (15). The aim of the invention is to provide an axle drive unit which allows the drive train of a motor vehicle to have the simplest, weight-saving construction possible. To achieve this, power electronics (27) and an electromechanical steering system (17) comprising at least one electric motor (25) for generating steering torque are integrated into the structural unit (15).
