A low frequency therapeutic instrument (1) is provided with a holder (3) having an engaging portion (3J), and a body (4) that is detachably attached to the holder (3). The body (4) includes: a case body (4A) having a body-side electrode; an operation piece (4B) that has an insertion opening (4H) and that is attached to the case body (4A) so as to be slidable between an engaged position and a disengaged position; and a biasing portion (4C) that biases the operation piece (4B) so as to move from the disengaged position towards the engaged position. When the holder (3) is being attached to the body (4), the engaging portion (3J) of the holder (3) is positioned inside the insertion opening (4H) and the operation piece (4B) is disposed in the engaged position and is engaged to the engaging portion (3J). When an external force is applied to the operation piece (4B), the engagement between the operation piece (4B) and the engaging portion (3J) of the holder (3) is released, enabling the holder (3) to be detached from the body (4).
